Life will always seem like a trade off until we can open to the fact that even the bad stuff is good. Then the concept of “settling” no longer resonates, and all that remains are just the choices that are made and a realization of the Love that is always available in each experience.

The realization that Love is always available in each experience, no matter how utterly dark it may be, would be such a tremendous antidote to the tragedy of contemporary society. Nowadays it seems as if humans tend to search Love in all kind of extremes, each ego searching for a higher mountain top, without realizing that Love behaves like water as it tends to flow towards the lowest places, towards the verdant valleys where the soul resides in all its light and dark shades, far below the misty heights where the aspirations of our egos forced us to escape.
